Melinda morales, founder + president

Melinda Morales, a Tampa native, is a birth advocate, full spectrum doula, childbirth educator, and the founder of lovebirth, LLC and Project Teenbirth, Inc. Understanding the struggles of being a teen-parent first hand, she now advocates for unconditional and non-judgemental support for women of all ages and through all pregnancy outcomes; specializing in teen pregnancy.

After the birth of her second son in 1999 she realized there was a need for more support and education surrounding childbirth, especially within the teen and young parent community; she then began her journey as a birth advocate in 2006.

Since then, Melinda has supported many families throughout the Tampa Bay area as they transitioned into parenthhood. She sits as the membership officer on the board of The Tampa Bay Birth Network, works as a birth assistant at Sweet Child O’Mine birth center, and volunteers doula support for Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas. When not at a birth or teaching, Melinda can be found behind a good book or with her family and two dogs.
